When she was nine years old, my cat Cleo was diagnosed with feline diabetes. She was prescribed insulin shots twice a day and a special diabetic kibble. But the disease progressed unchecked.
At her worst Cleo could barely walk and after deciding we had nothing to lose, I did my own research, changed how I was treating her, and in a very short time she got better.
This book shares Cleo's story from diagnosis to remission and how, along the way, I developed a much better appreciation for this quirky dilute calico who often lived in her own world but very much held her own in a busy household of larger-than-life canine personalities.

Currently working on a book about this guy: A whirlwind of unknown origin, found on the side of the road, a giant jaw of too many teeth and an attitude to match. Some might have called him an evil genius. He was my best friend.
