Over the last three decades, I have been honoured to share stories of community through my work with magazines and newspapers. I have also helped people record their own life stories, and enjoyed sharing some of mine. On this page you can check out my book, or click below to find out how I can help you tell your story.
When she was nine years old, my cat Cleo was diagnosed with feline diabetes. She was prescribed insulin shots twice a day and a special diabetic kibble. But the disease progressed unchecked.
At her worst Cleo could barely walk and after deciding we had nothing to lose, I did my own research, changed how I was treating her, and in a very short time she got better.
This book shares Cleo's story from diagnosis to remission and how I, along the way, developed a much better appreciation for this quirky cat who often lived in her own world in a busy household of larger-than-life canine personalities.

Currently working on a book about this guy: A whirlwind of unknown origin, found on the side of the road, a giant jaw of too many teeth and an attitude to match. Some might have called him an evil genius. He was my best friend.
Based off stories originally told on my old blog Three Dogs and a Couch.
